Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, with special emphasis on the spine.  At Living Well Chiropractic we consider the whole body, not just where you are experiencing symptoms.  By taking time to understand your symptoms, health and lifestyle we are able to provide you with a working diagnosis, meaning you receive the right type of care.

Chiropractic Appointment Types

Below is a summary of the Chiropractic Fees, along with further details to explain the fees.

Initial Consultation and Assessment £25

Initial Plan of Care Appointment £35

Initial Consultation and Assessment PLUS first treatment (£25 + £35) £60

A consultation is required before chiropractic care can be provided. At your first appointment the Chiropractor will conduct a consultation and assessment. A verbal report of findings will be provided and if chiropractic care is appropriate, a working diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care will be provided.

If you wish to commence with Chiropractic care and time allows at the consultation appointment, you can receive your first adjustments at this appointment.

As the resolution of symptoms and return of function is a healing process, if appropriate the Chiropractor will recommend a course of care.  It is normal for Dr Claire Laidler to recommend between 6 to 12 adjustment sessions, over 4 to 6 weeks.  Each appointment is taken at a time, and the appropriateness of the recommended care is always reviewed.

Wellness Plus Appointment £35

For those patients who have completed an initial plan of care, they then have the option of commencing the Wellness Plus Plan. This is an ongoing maintenance plan with chiropractic or massage appointments every four to six weeks.

The reasoning and benefits of maintenance care will be explained in detail when you attend clinic, but in brief, patients usually start having chiropractic care due to experiencing symptoms, though these symptoms may have resulted from years or even decades of biomechanical compensation and dysfunction.  Being adjusted regularly assists with maintaining the removal of biomechanical interferences at the spinal column, benefitting the nervous system and enabling the body to manage biomechanical imbalances which result from old accidents, poor postures and daily stress. Read more...

Ad Hoc Chiropractic Appointment £40

Ad Hoc Chiropractic appointments are for patients who have previously under-taken their initial plan of care following an initial assessment but have not visited us for over 6 weeks.

Chiropractic adjustment sessions usually involve one or some of the following: chiropractic adjustments, patient exercise/posture education, low level laser and/or soft tissue release.

Reassessment FREE

Reassessment PLUS first Treatment £40

This type of appointment is for existing patients, who haven't attended clinic for 12 months or more and for those existing patients who are attending clinic with new symptoms which haven't been assessed before.

There is no fee for chiropractic reassessments, though if chiropractic is appropriate, a plan of care will be outlined, and care can be commenced at the reassessment appointment. The charge for this will be £40.
